I love rockets, and I love space. I always have, and I always will! All my life I have dreamed of becoming an astronaut, and I am doing all I can to make this goal a reality.
I am a second-year student at The University of Texas at Austin, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Aerospace engineering, specializing in space technology. Here in Austin, I have been blessed with the opportunity to work in the Texas Rocket Engineering Lab (TREL), one of the most advanced student-run rocketry laboratories in the world.
At TREL, we are designing, building, and launching a liquid-fueled bipropellant rocket into space from scratch as part of the Base 11 Space Challenge. After starting out as the ground system responsible engineer, worked my way up to Fluids Systems Engineer, and eventually to my current position of Director of Engineering. As Director, it is my duty to ensure the lab is on track to not only build a rocket but to build rocket-builders.
I am actively pursuing internships within the aerospace industry, and in the engineering field in general.
