In my high school years my greatest joy came from primarily athletics and personal creative art projects, however, my ACT Math 97% (top 3% of the country) drew me towards the most practical and diverse field of Mathematical endeavor that being Mechanical Engineering and more particularly in extraterrestrial applications. I know I have made the right decision to be in the field of Engineering but consider the myriad of possible specialty fields daunting. As a new graduate I won’t be approaching any opportunity with any sense of limitation on what challenges I am willing to take on.
One of my greatest intellectual strengths is Math; I currently already have a Minor in Mathematics and will complete my bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering this Spring May 2021. The complexity and difficulty of these subjects drives my critical thinking and problem-solving mind. Some of the projects I have completed over the few years at the University of Arkansas are highlighted on my resume. These projects—in addition to more—not only taught me how to use new technology, equipment, and machines, but also the importance of teamwork and adaptation to new ideas.
My significant University electives: Materials Science (for Engineers), Mechanics of Materials, Additive Manufacturing and Creative Writing. Intern work has added application and interpretation of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
