After an amazing 13 1/2 years is it bittersweet but time for new adventures/opportunities from being employed with Space Exploration Technologies since July of 2007. Last: Facility Manager Boca site- all things facilities. Prior: Supervisor Launch operations- Successful StarHopper campaign. Previous: 11 years at Mcgregor Test/development facility where all workings had mainly been with GSE(ground support equipment)..to build, maintain and modify all test stands at the test site. I was a technician supervisor for the fabrication and support department. I implement training and refresher courses to share the tribal knowledge of our team. My crew completes all new builds or modifications to either the systems or the stands. Prior I had been a lead technician for over 2 years over the modification and maintenance group. Prior I was a POC(point of contact) for the GSE group for a year before making lead. I am active with interviewing and selecting possible candidates for employment. I am active in training new hires for my group. I am directly responsible for scheduling work, inspection of work and task completion of 37 employees. I plan work by coordinating schedules with other groups to ensure assignments are completed in a timely and safe manner. I work directly with engineering for project instruction and modifications to the designs, then implement the changes as necessary. I am proficient in heavy equipment operation, fluid schematic and technical print reading, tube bending, facing and flaring, fitting and component recognition and operation, torquing valves/flanges and tubing connections, instrumentation and fluid panel fabrication, hand power tools, precision hand tools, orbital welding, working on low and high pressure fluid and gas systems, cryogenic systems, pyrophoric systems, hydrocarbon and water systems. I can work alone unsupervised, with a team or lead a team. 95% of my time is outside in the elements and 45% of the time is at elevated surfaces. I am very familiar with rigging and signaling for crane operations. I am also familiar with assisting welders with installation and field fits of piping. I have also assisted our quality control department with proofing and cleaning of various components, tubing and piping.
