My name is Makenzie Leonard and I am a freshman at the University of Florida in the Innovation Academy. I am fully planning on pursuing an Air and Space Law degree. I hope to eventually work to write and implement Air and Space Policy at the international level. In my first year at UF, I applied and was accepted as one of only 50 other students in the Freshman Leadership Council. As a council member, I have been a part of smaller teams to plan and put on a multitude of events. The opportunity to bring the student body together to celebrate diversity and promote self-love has been a rewarding one.
