About this Electronics Engineer role:
The role will require a proactive, technically minded engineer to act as a link amongst the Electronics Design team, the Test team and the Production team. The role will heavily be involved in dealing with manufacturing data packs and test procedures, ensuring delivery of projects to cost, quality, safety and time parameters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the business by effectively performing structured work assignments and to support problem-solving for non-routine issues
- Deliver work tasks and assignments in accordance to required standards and compliance requirements
- Guiding the Test team on how to test, debug and troubleshoot existing and new product designs.
- Support the Project Manager with the customer/contract requirements to resolve any conflicts
- Support business development activities by collaborating with potential clients to elicit technical requirements and assess feasibility for proposals.
- Generation of manufacturing data packs for flight hardware (BOMs, schematics, PCB layout, manufacturing instructions, inspection drawings, etc.) and generation of test procedures.
Skills required:
- A relevant Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent in experience
- Experience with Altium or Cadence OrCAD Capture software for Schematic Capture and PCB Layout design
- Proven track record and industry experience of testing and debugging electronic circuits (preferably switch mode power supplies)
- Knowledge of Microcontrollers, ADCs, DC/DC converters, LDOs, etc.
- Evidence of using laboratory test equipment (power supplies, oscilloscope, electronic loads, etc) and resolving technical issues
- Knowledge of Non-Conformance processes and Engineering Change Notes.
- Proven knowledge and experience using schematic capture and PCB design software
- Can work independently as well as ability to effectively collaborate within cross cultural teams
- Uses initiative and works towards finding solutions
- Ability to organise self and prioritise workload in dynamic environment and with tight deadlines
- Competent IT skills and with Microsoft software
- Proficient in English, both verbally and written
Skills desired:
- Knowledge of RF circuit design, PCB Layout and usage of related equipment like Spectrum Analyser, Vector Network Analyser, Vector Signal Generator, etc
- Knowledge of FPGA design using VHDL
- Knowledge of C and/or Python programming languages
