Description: 

AGILE is seeking a Propulsion Engineer who will help us design, test, and produce flight thrusters for critical mission applications that require 100% reliability. The propulsion engineer will be a key member of the program team, working closely with the cross-functional group that is designing, manufacturing, testing, and analyzing rocket engines. We are seeking an engineer who is proficient with digital design and analytical modeling tools, finds creative solutions to difficult problems, and draws on their knowledge of both first principles and practical engineering to create rocket engines that will exceed expectations.

Job Details:

  • Responsible for completing critical design and engineering activities in new engine development programs
  • Innovate engine technologies by working across the design, analysis, development, and testing operations
  • Detailed engine design and analysis activities
  • Implement creative solutions for mechanical design, fluid controls, and heat transfer problems
  • Interpret test data to verify requirements, look for problems, and ideate improvements
  • Develop reports for internal and external customer engagements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related engineering or technical field
  • Proficient with SolidWorks
  • Candidate must be a US citizen or permanent resident
  • Ability to explain how a rocket engine works
  • Ideal Candidate will be able to start work on February 1, 2021

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with liquid rocket engines and propulsion systems
  • Proficiency in ANSYS
  • Experience in designing for advanced materials and manufacturing processes
  • Experience in scripting software tools, macros, and computational models
  • Professional engineering experience as a full-time engineer or internships

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Schedule: 5 day/45hr Work Week
