Located in Durango, CO, AGILE Space Industries designs, builds, and tests in-space propulsion systems for satellites and spacecraft. AGILE uses state of the art 3D metal alloy printing techniques to rapidly design, manufacture, and test new engine designs in our purpose-built propulsion test facility. With over a decade of experience testing rocket engines, and engineers who have worked at industry leaders like Blue Origin, SpaceX, NASA, and Rocketdyne, AGILE is a rapidly growing company with many exciting Defense, Civil and commercial programs.


AGILE is seeking a Propulsion Test Technician who will be responsible for supporting propulsion test operations at AGILE’s hypergolic test facility in Durango, Colorado.  This includes maintaining, repairing, and upgrading existing test facilities, establishing new test facilities, and preparing propulsion systems for testing.  In this role, you will work closely with a cross-functional team consisting of Propulsion Engineers, Test Engineers, and Software Engineers to develop propulsion systems intended for in-space missions.

Job Details

  • Design, document, and/or implement test stand improvements and maintenance
  • Execute the fabrication, maintenance, and upgrade of critical test equipment
  • Prepare and inspect propulsion hardware for hot-fire test operations
  • Participate in hot-fire test operations as a member of the Test Crew
  • Perform hazardous material handling and decontamination activities
  • Develop novel ways to streamline processes and increase the reliability and safety of testing operations
  • Instrumentation calibration, inspection, and installation
  • Comply with standard process documentation
  • Receiving inspections, documentation, and inventory


  • B.S., advanced degree or relevant job experience in related engineering or technical field
  • Experience working  around or with hazardous chemicals such as hydrazine and NTO
  • Comfort performing hazardous operations with appropriate PPE and training
  • General physical fitness and dexterity, comfort in tight spaces, able to lift 50 lbs
  • Candidate must be a US citizen or permanent resident

  • Propulsion test facility build, maintenance, and operations experience

Work Schedule: 5 day/45hr Work Week
