Job Description:

The main objectives of the role are the test engineering activities mainly in RF, digital, electrical and antenna fields, particularly for space and avionic application.

Main activities (list of the main activities to perform the job) RF and Antenna Test Engineer primary tasks:

  • Definition of test methods, test sequences and specific test setups
  • Production of test plans, procedures and reports
  • Development of the operational applications and automatic procedures for RF testing.
  • Execution of RF/ electrical test activities until final delivery of flight and avionic equipment/subsystems/payload
  • Operation of the antenna test range facility (anechoic chamber) and being point of contact for range test technical advice.
  • Post processing and analysis of test results.
  • Knowledge of mechanical integration and RF/DC harness connection
  • Identification of GSE and facilities requirements  RF/EGSE design and MAIT coordination
  • Support anomalies investigations to identify root causes.
  • Support Lesson Learned sessions  Ability to comply with the cleanroom and workshop Health, Safety Environment and cleanliness rules.

Competences Education/Training: Essential:

  • Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering Desirable:
  • Post-graduation degree

Experience: Essential:

  • At least 4-5 years of work experience on RF Test Engineering including o integration and test procedure preparation, o consolidated experience on RF and electrical testing by means of the most common measurement techniques and instrumentation o analysis of test results and test report preparation o RF/EGSE design and MAIT coordination


  • Knowledge of the V&V process
  • Familiarity with the definition of AIT plans
  • Basic knowledge of digital, electrical and RF design
  • Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of crimping and soldering processes according to ECSS standards
  • Capacity to operate Thermal Vacuum Chamber and Climatic Chamber
  • Background in projects in the frame of ECSS standards and DO-160 Tool or product requirements:
  • DOORS (nice to have)
  • Labview (nice to have)
  • Matlab (nice to have)
  • Programming languages (nice to have)
