Apogee is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator (PaaS) in support of work at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

What you will be doing:

  • Administers, develops, configures, implements, and maintains the systems that comprise the underlying cloud platform.
  • Sets up public and/or private cloud systems, understanding and depending on type of workload, and deploys them in an automated way; and monitors, moves, and alters the systems using a prescribed methodology.
  • Establishes and implements standards for cloud operations according to specifications and parameters.
  • Determines business needs and selects a cloud provider(s) that best fits the requirements.
  • Support, re-design/re-engineer existing on-prem network, servers, VoIP infrastructure.
  • Maintain and build upon existing network and domain environments.
  • Design and implement new on-premises and cloud systems while implementing best practices and industry standards.
  • Administration of switches, routers.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to improve operational workflows.
  • Create and maintain custom scripts using powershell, python, and bash.
  • Create detailed documents and diagrams for all IT infrastructure.
  • Provide Level II Level III Onsite/Cloud PaaS and all aspects of Cloud support for GSP systems on NIPRnet, Cornerstone-Secret, Cornerstone-Top Secret, Tungsten, Zinc, StoneGhost, Classified and Unclassified Cloud environments.
  • Enterprise consists of 12 PaaS systems which includes Production, Integration and Research across multiple Classified/Unclassified environments.
  • Create and maintain system and application blueprints for new portal offerings.
  • Provision, operate, and maintain systems and environments in a Hybrid Cloud environment to include Private Clouds such as the on-premises DC/OS/VMware environment and the Public and Community Clouds to include the IC Commercial Cloud Service, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud and other cloud providers approved for Government use.

What you will need to have:

  • Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or information technology with 5+ years of relevant experience
    • 7+ years of relevant experience preferred with Bachelor’s degree
  • Must possess and maintain an 8140/8570 DoD IAT level II certification
  • Experience in PaaS software capabilities including DC/OS, Kubernetes, Docker, Scale, Gluster, Ceph, Zookeeper, Kafka, Kong, Geoserver, Marathon, Metronome, Stamp, Aether, Key, Team Manager, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Brigade, Geoserver framework and other COTS/GOTS software utilized on PaaS systems.
  • Experience in programming/scripting languages including Python, C, C++, C#, Bash, Perl, Go and Java

Regular part time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis.
