Apogee is seeking a Senior Manager – Joint Ventures located in Colorado Springs CO, Dayton OH, or Suffolk VA in support of mentor protégé joint venture operations and business development activities.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the stand-up of mentor protégé joint ventures where Apogee is acting as the mentor, and support the ongoing mentor protégé joint venture where Apogee is the protégé.
  • Help establish mentoring goals for new MP JVs and effectively support protégé companies throughout the duration of our MP JV relationship.
  • Serve as the primary conduit of communications for joint venture partners with day to day operational matters, establishing additional mentoring pathways, and consideration of business development objectives
  • Support the business development and capture activities associated with joint venture opportunities, including the targeting of GWACs, and agency specific single and multiple award IDIQs. This will include non-JV related pursuit of GWACs and IDIQs.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Apogee’s capabilities and ongoing growth strategy.
  • Learn Apogee’s culture, how we engage with personnel, customers, and partner companies, and be a champion for those approaches in MP JV operations and business development activities.

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years relevant experience
  • Master’s degree with 12+ years experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) certification is preferred
  • At least ten (10) years in the defense contracting industry working with US Military personnel and organizations
  • At least five (5) years experience working with joint ventures to help grow small businesses, and preferably mentor protégé joint ventures, in the government contracting industry
  • Experience working with and maintaining strong relationships with the Small Business Administration (SBA)
  • Ideal candidate’s experience is located where the defense industry is a recognized part of the local economy
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders
  • Expert level skills in verbal and written communication.
  • Secret security clearance is preferred
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time

  • This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
  • Salary Min: $98,212.30; Salary Max: $202,610.91
