Apogee is actively seeking a full-time GEOINT Systems Engineer, Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Special Operations Forces (ISR & SOF) Directorate located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide engineering support to the Special Projects Branch in the ISR & SOF Directorate in the development, demonstration, and transition of advanced ISR technologies into Air Force systems
  • Provide technical expertise on novel radar phenomenology test/development for space-based systems, long-range ground based atmospheric radar systems, and wideband data link and sensor development in support of the DoD ISR platforms
  • Provide technical expertise on novel radar phenomenology test/development for space-based systems, long-range ground based atmospheric radar systems, and wideband data link and sensor development in support of the DoD ISR platforms
  • Apply knowledge and skills in technical support related to experimental research and test, instruction in mathematical sciences, logistical support of weapons platforms, metrics development and reporting, staff support positions, and program management

What you’ll need:

  • Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI
  • Must possess one of the following education and experience combinations:
    • Master’s degree and a minimum of 12 of years of relevant experience, 5 years of which must be in the DoD
    • OR, Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, 5 years of which must be in the DoD
    • OR, a minimum of 20 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree, 8 years of which must be in the DoD
  • Experience related to DoD Research, Development, Test and Evaluation, logistics, and systems acquisition programs
  • Experience in GEOINT technology areas and system engineering processes
  • Knowledge of principles, criteria, and procedures of the DoD to include DoD 5000.01 and DoD 5000.02 as well as the policies and processes of USAF, HQ AFMC, AFLCMC Engineering Directorate, ISR & SOF Directorate and Division
