We have an excellent opportunity for an aspiring business operations trainee to join our team in a high-paced, challenging and fulfilling environment, where we will empower you to shine in your role.

You’ll work alongside Archangel’s Operations Manager, COO, and the wider team to develop, implement, deliver and improve world-class operations services. You will be adding value through owning office management to ensure company-wide productivity and through supporting all business functions.

How you will make an impact:

Office Management

  • Ensure relevant info, assets and people reach the right people
  • Handling incoming calls and general mail enquiry
  • Distributing post
  • Maintaining order, safety and assisting in fostering productivity and wellbeing for our hybrid-remote teams
  • Perform first aid and health and safety routines
  • Prompt, effective responses and solutions to general support requests
  • Ordering consumables as required
  • Ensure the physical office space is safe, hygiene, tidy, compliant
  • Managing team shared inboxes and calendars
  • Assisting in event planning and running them
  • Organizing files and documents
  • Minute taking
  • Timely, effective contribution to team wiki, documentation, process design and mapping

HR duties to include:

  • Support recruitment team using streamlined processes and guides to achieve quality hires within deadlines
  • Assisting with on/offboarding
  • Assist with payroll and record keeping
  • Promote team values (Agile, Results, Community, Humility)
  • Perform research and support requests (data entry, communication, planning, organization)

Marketing duties

  • Perform research and support requests
  • Professionally represent the company externally

Finance duties

  • Accurate, effective light bookkeeping (processing expenses, invoices, reconcile transactions)
  • Purchasing and related project records maintenance
  • Perform research and support requests (data entry, communication, planning, organization)

Things to consider:

In the longer term, you would be a member of our office-based team at the Harwell Space Campus however initially, the role will involve remote working in the majority. Previous experience that demonstrates your ability to work remotely would be advantageous.

 

Desired Qualities, Skills & Knowledge:

  • Genuine, evidenced passion for building and executing operations support in a growing tech company, that you are excited by the challenges as well as the potential impact you can make
  • Basic knowledge and experience of business activities from previous roles (around 2 years workplace experience expected)
  • Demonstrable strong problem solving, effective research planning, organising, team work skills and proactiveness
  • Good communication, both written and verbal
  • Natural tendency to thrive in an ambitious, intense, but fast-paced, forward-thinking and friendly culture
  • Generally tech-savvy and comfortable with modern productivity and collaboration apps

 

Salary: This role will pay between 23,000 GBP – 28,000 GBP dependant on experience.
