The position of Technical Program Manager, RF Engineering will be responsible for leading and managing research and development programs for radio frequency technologies for satellite and cellular applications. Programs will range in complexity and will include both hardware and software systems as well as Subsystems. The role will require close alignment with the system engineering and engineering management. Ownership and accountability of schedule, cost, resources, and risk are primary responsibilities of the role. Program responsibility will encompass the entire life cycle of the program and product including planning, execution, delivery, installation, certification, and support.

The ability to lead multifunctional and multicultural engineering teams and closely collaborate with all functional areas including engineering, logistics, procurement, and contracts is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead complex programs and sub-projects with responsibility, accountability, and ownership of schedule, cost, resources, and risks.
  • Responsible and accountable for a portfolio of programs and projects.
  • Develop close working relationship and alignment with engineering, finance, procurement, and other functional areas.
  • Provide strong leadership, organization, and program management skills to the organization.
  • Develop, own and manage cost/budget for the programs.
  • Support RFPs, bids, and proposals as needed.
  • Leverage technical background to become subject matter expert for assigned programs
  • Implemented process improvements to reduce test development cycle time, verification environments and quality of results.
  • Coordinate interaction between multiple providers and internal engineering and R&D resources.
  • Present program status to internal stakeholders and internal executives as needed.
  • Provide resource scoping to the senior executive team.

Qualifications:

  • Must be US Citizen, Permanent resident card holder or have legal US working permit
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of Project Management experience leading multi-disciplined engineering teams in a technical environment
  • 10 years of Project Management experience leading multi-disciplined engineering teams in a technical environment
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
  • Experience with Semiconductor Programs (including ASICs and RFICs)
  • Knowledgeable of Satcom systems for connectivity and communications
  • Knowledge of Telecom, cellular and satellite networks
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools with the ability to create or tailor processes when needed
  • Flexibility/adaptability in a fast-paced & dynamic environment.
