How You’ll Fulfill Your Mission

  • Develop: write highly reliable safety-critical code to support our vehicle and see your work fly
  • Test: write detailed software requirements and validate compliance in accordance with range and government software standards
  • Partner: work with government partners and Astra Flight Safety Team to define critical interfaces, documentation, and test protocols to validate safety critical flight software
  • Fly: support launch from mission control and fulfill critical software responsibilities during the countdown
  • Analyze: review flight data to confirm compliance with specified operation
  • Ownership: end-to-end responsibility for large aspects of the flight safety software system

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years experience developing software in C/C++
  • Significant embedded Flight Software experience
  • Familiarity with Source code control (git)
  • FPGA configuration and hardware integration experience
  • Requirements development, tracing, and test/verification experience

Desired Multipliers

  • Experience with VxWorks or other RTOS
  • Experience with Xilinx Zynq
  • Software Test plan development and V&V experience for FAA/government entities (DO-178 or experience with highly reliable software standards for medical devices)
  • Familiarity with RCC 319
