About the job

In the frame of Mechanical System Discipline team, Avio is looking for a Launcher Environment System Engineer. He/She will be responsible for the qualification of equipment and sub-systems wrt thermo-mechanical environment. In particular, he/she will carry out the following tasks:

  • Defines and justifies the requirements concerning the thermo-mechanical environment qualification of equipment and sub-systems and verifies the final compliance through the updating of system VCD
  • Assures the post-processing of thermo-mechanical system analyses and generates the relevant database to be updated at each development phase
  • Generates and maintains the database of equipment environmental quaification levels (QSL, sine, random, shock, thermal).
  • Produces the synthesis documents for the system reviews
  • Supports equipment and sub-system technical managers during the development and qualification process by participating to design reviews (PDR, CDR, QR), qualification test milestones (PTR, TRB) and by evaluating RFD/RFW relevant to thermo-mechanical environment

Technical skills:

  • Master Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • 3 years of experience in the follow on of equipment/sub-system environmental qualification process
  • Advanced knowledge of post-processing of mechanical/thermal environment data (QSL, sine, random, shock, thermal)
  • Experience in the execution of environmental tests and the relevant standards (ECSS, MIL, etc…)
  • Advanced knowledge of Matlab programming language. Knowledge of Dynaworks for the management of test data would be an asset

Other Requirements:

  • English language is mandatory, knowledge of Italian and/or French would be a plus
  • Capability to manage several activities in parallel and orientation to technical synthesis
  • Autonomous decision making, proactivity and success oriented approach
  • Capability to work in team and interact with other teams in the company
