Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and Industrial Designer who is preoccupied with big questions: Where do we go from here? What are the limits of innovation and exploration? How do we continue to evolve as a species?

This position will work on-site at our headquarters in Houston, Texas.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Anthropometric Driven Design
  • Determining Psychological and Physiological Design Requirements
  • Enhancing the Safety, Comfort, and Usability of Designs
  • Fabricating Prototypes, Mockups, Models, and Test Beds
  • Working with a Variety of Materials, including Wood, Metal, and Plastic
  • Performing Form, Fit, and Function Tests
  • Coordinating with Teams to Understand Design Challenges and Develop Solutions

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or Related Discipline
  • Minimum 5 Years of Design and Manufacturing Related Experience

Skills

  • Specialized Focus in Human Factors and Ergonomics
  • Knowledge of Materials, Fasteners, and Manufacturing Processes
  • CAD – Rhino and Solidworks
  • Ability to Demonstrate Designs through Sketching, Rendering, and Modeling
  • Power and Hand Tools
  • Careful Attention to Detail
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Experience with Transportation Interiors and Aerospace Design is a plus
  • Operation of 3D Printers, Laser Cutters, Vinyl Cutters, and CNC Routers is a plus
