As part of a diverse and hardworking team of embedded hardware and software developers, you will lead embedded software testing for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of liquid rocket engine controller development. Your experience planning and executing embedded controller software verification in compliance with DO-178C will be critical to the development of a reliable engines. Your stewardship will include continued development of hardware and software environments for software verification, leadership of developers supporting SW verification, coordination with the SW development team to resolve issues identified in testing, and coordination with the integrated product team to execute these activities on a schedule that supports overall engine development. Your proficiency in C, C++, Rust, and Python will support on-going development activities on our Linux-based hardware-in-the-loop system.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 7 or more years of software development, integration, systems engineering and testing experience in compliance with DO-178C
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills regarding technical subjects.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
- Proficiency with the Rust language
- Master’s or Doctorate in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Embedded hardware development experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Experience with IBM DOORS Next Generation and the IBM Rational Quality Module for requirement and verification artifact management
