We are rapidly growing our Melbourne Design Centre and are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Structural Analysis Engineers to join our Port Melbourne team onsite to support Boeings commercial aircraft products.

This is critical work to keep us at the forefront of aerospace engineering and innovation and a great opportunity for Engineers to grow and develop their skills whilst making a real contribution to a world-class engineering function.

About the role:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, integrate and document structural requirements to establish the system design
  • Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product’s environment
  • Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
  • Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyses/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
  • Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analysing improvements
  • Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort

Basic qualifications (required skills / experience):

  • Bachelor’s of Engineering, ideally Aerospace or Mechanical
  • Relevant technical experience in structural analysis
  • Experience with Finite Element Models (FEM)
  • Demonstrated skills in problem solving
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent cross-functional teaming, collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication
  • Experience with CATIA V5 software is highly desirable

Classification Level:  This is an Enterprise Agreement position classified as Engineer / Scientist E1B, E2A or E2B. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 3-month probationary period.
