Boeing Brazil is seeking Senior Electronic Systems Engineer, reporting to the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Manager, working out of the Sao Jose dos Campos – SP office.
The Senior Electronic Systems Engineers will join the Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) team. All projects focus on design, development, and production support of Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) Platform Architecture and Airplane Electronic Hardware (AEH) & Software.
Responsibilities include translation of concepts and high-level requirements to specific architectures and operational specifications, and the integration of avionics systems and components into our complex airplanes. Work with a worldwide team to implement system hardware and software. Verification of system designs at the component, system and airplane levels. Work with aircraft systems from initial concept through certification, delivery, and in-service support.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead component design, development and qualification per DO-160
- Lead System Requirements documentation, validation, and verification per ARP-4754A and DO-297
- Lead System Safety Analysis documentation per ARP-4761
- IMA Platform configuration and architecture definition in alignment to airplane functional requirements
- Oversee integration with IMA Platform hosted functions to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
- Lead analysis and decomposition of requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications per DO-178 and DO-254
- Develop and oversee execution of verification plan for system designs to meet operational and functional requirements
- Oversee supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements and schedule
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Must have existing rights to work in Brazil
- Must have a degree in Engineering
- Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language
- In depth experience in defining and implementing engineering processes and methods
- Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia – CREA)
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
- In depth experience within Electronic Systems hardware and software design
- In depth experience in certifying electronic systems designs through FAA or other regulatory agencies
- In depth experience with systems design during an airplane development program including Amended Type Certification
- In depth experience in leading cross functional teams
- Demonstrated project management skills within a fast paced highly integrated environment
- In depth experience with Aerospace Networking Standards such as ARINC664, ARINC825
- In depth experience with Model Based Development tools
