The Boeing India Engineering is currently looking for an Associate Hardware ATE Design Engineer to join the Boeing India Engineering Team located at Bangalore, India.

Position Responsibilities:

The following duties include

  • Develops and documents moderately sophisticated electronic and electrical system requirements. Designs hardware software and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Assists in supervising supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product life-cycle. Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
    The Boeing Center in India is looking for expert Electrical & Electronics Engineer to support and Liaison for a variety of aerospace programs.
  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering candidate(s) will work with multi-functional teams supporting work packages coming from Boeing, USA. Proven experience associated with the following technical proficiencies highly desired:
  • This position involves highly-motivated Hardware ATE Design Engineer. This individual will work in a team environment to develop test and repair capability for a wide variety of avionic and/or weapon systems. This organization develops and maintains a wide range Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and analysis tools for numerous aircraft and weapons programs. Our equipment and software is used to support all phases of platform/weapon development, from demonstration to production to field support and depot repair.
    This position requires prior experience in analog/digital/power design, FPGA design, product development and requirements verification/validation of ATE. Candidate should have knowledge and worked in analog and digital designs specifically in areas relating to Avionics.
    Candidate should require knowledge across a wide range of engineering fields e.g. Mechanical design, electrical design, thermal dissipation, durability, dynamics, material properties, environmental conditioning, safety, control theory, configuration control, and test instrumentation. Familiarity with standard electronic laboratory test equipment and fixing practices is desired.
    This position requires the ability to work within a fast-paced team environment.
  • This position requires to provide periodic update on project progress, quality metrics, project summaries, and other related documents.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer sciences is required.
  • Must have experience working with multi-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners.
  • Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time-zones.
  • Communication – strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, Statements of Work, and connect technology to business considerations (e.g., return on investment). Candidate must be proficient in English, and familiar with MS Office tools.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive demeanor, high ethics, and a track record of working efficiently in time constrained environment.
  • Ability to mentor and guide subordinates and partners to accomplish project and departmental goals and objectives.
  • Must be very proficient in spoken and written English, and have excellent communication style.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Should possess past experience with ATE hardware design, software development and hardware/software integration are preferred.
  • Experience with automated test equipment, avionics, and/or weapons programs is a plus.
  • Experience or knowledge of RS422/RS232, PC104, Windows Embedded, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, ARINC 664 and MIL-STD-1553 communication standards, protocols and/or interfaces is preferred.
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server (or similar software Configuration Management tools) is required.
    • Understanding of configuration management, requirements traceability (DOORS) and related processes are required.
    • Exposure to Aerospace standards like DO-330, DO-160, DO-254 & DO-178 is preferred
    • General knowledge of high-density interconnects relating to micro vias, fuzz/micro buttons, BGA packaging as well as high frequency electronics like RF micro wave, MMIC, photonics, high speed digital.

Typical Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer sciences with 3 to 5 years of experience & Master’s degree with 2 to 5 years of experience.
