We are seeking a Supply Chain Analyst who will perform continuous review and analysis of demand and supply. The individual will also communicate performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance.

This position is based in Nagoya, Japan and will be hired on a 1 year fixed term contract with possibility to convert to an open ended contract, subject to business conditions and individual performance.

Position Responsibilities:

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage procurement, inventory control, supplier quality and financial performance.
  • Creates delivery schedules for products, releases and maintains purchase orders to support operations.
  • Documents and resolves order delinquencies and schedule adherence issues.
  • Inventory oversight and control inclusive of auditing, plans and order adjustments.
  • Maintain and enhance MRP system to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.
  • Supports emergent and unplanned demand ordering,
  • Coordinates and supports process improvements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and supply chain personnel.
  • Communicate supplier performance status to programs and internal business partners.
  • Coordinates with supply chain partners to share information, resolve issues ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive performance to operational targets

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Have a combination of proven experience in relevant business area, such as manufacturing, supply chain management and work in aerospace industry.
  • Strong project planning, management and execution skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate productively in multi-discipline teaming environments.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree is preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Japanese highly preferred
  • Flexibility to learn and work across a variety of aerospace manufacturing technologies and applications

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).

This requisition is for a locally hired position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not on Boeing US-based payroll.
