We are looking for a Production Technician Mechanical to join Bradford Engineering B.V., a Bradford Space subsidiary, is a Netherlands based supplier of Attitude and Orbit Control Systems (AOCS), Propulsion, Avionics and Thermal solutions for spacecraft. The Production Technician is responsible for assembling, integrating and could be supporting in carrying out tests under supervision of the Engineering department.

The Production Technician is able to assemble independent components according to validated procedures and the use of correct tools and materials for the Space application.

Key responsibilities

The assigned main tasks are but not limited to:

  • Prepare work.
    • Reading of drawings and schematics.
    • Kit control (kit check).
    • Support warehouse basic tasks (as back-up).
  • Preparing parts for production (cleaning).
  • Assembling components .
  • Fit check, assemble and integrate acc Drawings and Procedures.
  • Collaboration with the Operational planner for day and weekly planning.
  • Orbital welding of Tubing Systems.

Essential skills

  • Minimum two years relevant experience
  • MBO certificate (post-secondary vocational education) or by equivalent experience.
  • Should have a good command of Dutch, both spoken and written (Dutch B1).
  • Should have a good command of English, both spoken and written (Technical English B1).
  • Ability to learn orbital welding of tubing systems.
  • Experience with TIG welding.
  • Reading of technical drawings.
  • Driving license and willingness to travel.
