We are looking for a Product Assurance Engineer to join Bradford Engineering B.V., a Bradford Space subsidiary, based in the Netherlands and manufacturer of products for the space industry.
The Product Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the deliverables and the processes that support these are in conformance with the customer, internal and regulatory requirements. In all activities the Product Assurance Engineer works with the dedicated Core Team (Project Lead, Product Assurance & System Engineer).

In preliminary and subsequent phases the Product Assurance Engineer is involved with understanding the customer requirements and translating these to the organization. As part of these activities the Product Assurance Engineer must support with various dedicated analysis.

Key responsibilities:

The assigned main tasks are but not limited to:
• Manage Product Assurance requirements during design, development, manufacturing and testing.
• Perform dependability and safety analyses
• Follow up deviations, waivers, part approvals, non-conformances, corrective and preventive actions
• Identify and help solve problems that pose a risk for product quality and safety
• Participate in project meetings and audits
• Validate suppliers of products and services and where needed, independently perform audits
• Provides input for tenders in the area of the quality organization and quality processes
• Provides the Statements of Compliance (SoC) that relate to Product Assurance requirements
• Responsible for organizing, managing, and closing inspection points and review meetings with the Customer
• Responsible for compiling data packages in support of customer reviews
• Responsible for product applied materials and processes.
• Responsible for configuration management and traceability at product level
• Provides input to the Project Lead and/or reports on a monthly basis the status of product assurance aspects as part of the Project specific Progress Report

Essential skills
• enthusiasm for the space industry, technology and quality
• Ability to operate and think at least at BSc level with preferably an education in Engineering.
• Pragmatic, confident, focused, process orientated, flexible, stress resistant, big picture thinking
• Of interest is:
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Teams, Outlook)
• Proficiency in (technical) English (C2)
• Intermediate in Dutch (B1)
• Driving license and willingness to travel

Strongly valued/desired skills

• Experience in the spaceflight industry, preferably as a satellite equipment supplier
• Knowledge on the current technology status to spaceflight components and space systems
