Transversally to our reference markets, we provide application solutions and products for Earth observation with remote sensed data from satellite, aircraft and drones. We develop INSPIRE compliant Territorial Data Infrastructures (SDI), solutions for Smart Cities and complex systems to support decisions that exploit geographical information and Earth observation data, according to the new paradigms of the Cloud and Software As a Service. We engineer systems for business intelligence on geographic data and create value-added geoinformation products from Earth Observation data, which we offer to the Oil & Gas, renewable energy, transport (railways, roads) and engineering of works and infrastructures sectors.

The orientation towards innovation that characterizes us has given birth to Rheticus® , our Cloud platform designed to provide accurate and constantly updated data and information on our changing world, of great utility for those who, in the public and private, work to preserve our Earth and improve the quality of our lives. This new type of services, developed using Hexagon Geospatial Smart M.App technologies and based on the use of Sentinel data from the Copernicus program, today represents the synthesis of Planetek Italia’s skills and capacity in producing high value-added services.

In your role as Business Development Manager you will have the responsibility to develop the business of these services on the Business to Business or Public Administration markets, reporting directly to the Head of SBU.

You will therefore deal with:

  • Plan the most appropriate sales actions in relation to the characteristics and needs of individual customers and the priorities defined to expand the portfolio and / or retain existing customers;
  • Develop new business opportunities and carry out prospecting activities aimed at expanding the customer portfolio;
  • Strengthen relations with national and international suppliers and partners in a long-term logic;
  • Interpret customers’ needs and preferences, also identifying alternative commercial proposals in compliance with the technical and strategic constraints set and customer satisfaction;
  • Periodically check the performance of the commercial activity, identify and implement the most appropriate corrective actions aimed at achieving the assigned objectives;
  • Guiding performance management with a view to innovation, efficiency and profitability and identifying any corrective actions;
  • Carry out forecasting and reporting activities.


The ability to communicate effectively and the collaborative and constructive approach in relationships are your sure strength. You are creative by nature and insatiably curious, capable of strategic thinking and oriented to make a difference.

You have significant experience in the role gained in the commercial sector of companies operating in the geomatics segment or, alternatively, ICT or services.

So it is imperative that you know:

  • Plan actions and products, designing economic / operational and marketing strategies;
  • Collaborate in defining business strategies and identifying risks to guide the impact of sales;
  • Take care of relations with executive managers, customers and corporate stakeholders;
  • Interact with foreign interlocutors by communicating in English without any difficulty.

Your office will be in Bari but you will often be traveling around Italy and Europe.
