A quantum island
Funds are available for a postdoc who is a citizen of an ASEAN country (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam). The successful candidate will receive a generous monthly stipend, benefits (such as health insurance), and a generous travel budget for relocation to Singapore.
We have both theoretical and experimental postdoctoral positions available. The projects are as follows:
We are looking for a talented and motivated postdoc to join our theoretical efforts. Our interests lie in using machine learning methods to analyze new quantum systems. This represents a new approach to theoretical physics: rather than slog through new models ourselves, we write AI programs that can thoughtfully analyze systems for us. This allows us to study a broad range of systems more rapidly and easily than traditional computations could.
We are looking for a talented and motivated postdoc to join our strontium experiment. Our team investigates quantum information and quantum networks with ultracold strontium atoms. The general idea of our project is to use technology from the most precise systems on Earth, namely atomic clocks, to realize a quantum computing platform. This allows us to achieve a quantum computer with atomic clock precision.
