Mission
The Data Scientist Backup engineer is hierarchically attached to the Head of the Environment and Soil Safeguard Department and functionally to the Calculation-Modeling Backup expert.
In this context, your mission will consist of:
- implement and develop backup tools for optimizing models of accidental effects (mechanical, thermal, toxic) related to thruster bench tests and Ariane / Vega / Soyuz launches using rocket mechanics resolution codes fluids or analytical codes (EFFECTS, PHAST, etc.) or CNES codes,
- ensure post-processing and comparison of results.
Your main fields of study: Datascience, fluid mechanics, atmospheric diffusion of aerosols, explosion, fire.
You are a privileged contact for engineers from the CNES/CSG ground safeguard service, CSG industrialists and the CNES Space Transport Department based in Metropolitan France.
As Weather Backup Manager, you provide an operational position on launch campaigns. For this, you follow a qualification program following our internal training course.
Profile
Generalist engineer graduated from a Grande Ecole or university equivalent with a Datascientist specialization, you are comfortable expressing yourself in French and English (read, spoken, written).
You have already acquired a first professional experience of 1 to 5 years in Datascience and Python programming , ideally in the industrial sector or major risks.
Your ability to work in a team, your sense of interpersonal skills and your technical expertise are as many assets for success in this position as your self-control, your rigor and your spirit of synthesis.
