You will practice within the Telecommunications and Information department which is attached to the Sub-Directorate in charge of Operations and Technical Means. This department operates the information systems resources of CNES/CSG (Centre Spatial Guyanais) and adapts them to technological and technical developments. This service provides technical support services and permanent services in Telecommunications, Business Computing and Optics-video for the benefit of CNES/CSG users and its space base partners. The proposed position is located mainly within the IT activity of the service.

You will occupy a function which concerns the development of new means, intended to maintain the CSG at a high level of competitiveness at the world level. You will also be able to participate in satellite launch campaigns from the CSG. You will be trained and supervised by the other service engineers.

Operational activity

You will be able to take part in operations for setting up means of monitoring satellite preparation campaigns and launch campaigns.

Project management

CNES is launching a transformation of its IS, in particular its communication solutions as well as its work environment (digital workplace) and plans a short-term migration to Microsoft M365

This transformation is led by the DTN (Technical and Digital Department) of CNES, which is based in Toulouse.

You will ensure the preparation of this migration on the CSG, in particular on the following aspects

– Techniques (non-exhaustive list):

• Directory (Active Directory and Azur AD)
• Exchange 2016
• Deployment of Teams
• Suite Office 365
• Workspace One

– Uses:

• Acculturation to these new collaborative tools
• Support for database users

 These activities will be carried out in close collaboration with the DTN.

Profile

With a Computer Engineering, Engineering Grandes Ecoles or equivalent university education, you are fluent in English, read, written, spoken and have a few years’ professional experience in the definition and implementation or operation of IT systems.
