We are looking for a Network & Telecommunications Engineer to join CNES through an exceptional system: you will be based in Kourou for the first 3 years then in Toulouse at the end of this mission, on a position similar (CDI with CNES mobility agreement). During these three years in Kourou, you will benefit from many advantages.

Your future team, the Telecommunications and Information Department, is tasked with providing technical management, operating and maintaining the means of Telecommunications, Video Optics and Company Computing in operational conditions. It must also provide assistance to users and propose and monitor the renewal and development of equipment and systems.

As part of your duties, you will occupy the position of TELécom Manager (RTEL), who is one of the assistants of the DDO (Director of Operations) during a launch campaign: provision and proper functioning of all network resources and telecoms configured (base trials, dress rehearsals and launch timelines).

On the other hand, you will participate in the implementation of new systems, in particular the implementation of a private 5G network : the development of requirements specifications, the preliminary definition of architectures and even network strategies, taking account of existing systems.

You will follow the installation activities of the new means (technical qualification) and you will manage the operational qualification activities, which will make the means available for the space base

Finally, you will ensure that the technical network and telecom resources placed under your responsibility are kept up to date so that they are fully functional and available for the launch campaigns. Your activity will concern in particular the VSAT links with the launcher tracking stations spread all over the globe. Other network and telecom resources may be involved in the near future.

Bac+5, you have strong skills in networks, telecommunications, or IT in an operational context with a good command of English (B2/C1).
