Mission :

Reporting hierarchically to the Technical Department and under the supervision of the Qualification and Testing Engineer, you will be in charge of assembly / disassembly of prototypes as well as the implementation of development and qualification tests for winching systems for helicopters and airplanes.

Main activities : (5 or 6 key activities without acronyms)

  • Analyze test requests
  • Ensures compliance and supports prototype parts after entry inspection
  • Assembles, disassembles and develops prototypes
  • Manages the configuration of the equipment under test
  • Prepares and performs internal and / or external tests
  • Synthesizes and analyzes test results
  • Writes development test reports
  • Management of the laboratory bench, its maintenance and improvement.
  • Participate in the drafting of the documentation (Industrial Production File) and in the realization of the tools necessary for the putting into production of new products / product improvements.
  • Ensures the transfer of know-how to the pre-production / production team
  • Assures its roles and responsibilities in HSE
  • Preferred contacts (suppliers, customers, internal department)

Internal: Engineering / Production / Quality / Industrialization / Logistics
External: supplier / test laboratories
% of travel required : 5 to 10% to suppliers or testing laboratories


Know how :

  • Know how to read a plan, a DPI and a CMM.
  • Knows how to measure parameters (physical quantities)
  • Know how to use standard metrology tools.
  • Reads and interprets an electrical diagram
  • Knows how to write technical summary documents
  • Have skills in the assembly of mechanical assemblies

Know :

  • Training level BAC + 2 / + 3 type mechanical technician
  • Knowledge of general mechanics
  • Knowledge of physical measurements
  • Knowledge of data acquisition and processing
  • Knowledge of industrial design
  • Knows the rules of the art of editing
  • Knows the basic rules of metrology and test equipment capability
  • Is able to read and write technical documents in English

Associated skills:

  • Good ability to analyze problems in the field of mechanics.

Know-how :

  • Listens to test seekers (internal customers)
  • Curious, rigorous, methodical, synthetic and organized.
  • Able to work in a team.
  • Has good interpersonal skills and a great ability to communicate at all levels
  • Is vigilant about safety and the working environment
  • Language: English Intermediate – Reading CMM in English and Writing Reports
  • Certifications (HSE, others….): Electrical accreditation would be a plus
  • ITC requirements ( HR use only ): Access to military classified technical data (ML22.a)


Have 2 or 3 years of experience in the assembly and testing of aeronautical products. Knowledge of winch / winch or hoist type products would be a plus.
