POSITION REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Training and Experience:
    • Must possess the following qualifications: PQM, Functional Check Pilot (FCP), AHC, Sec Ld, BIP, TERF(I), WTO, NSFI, CRM Facilitator, Assistant NATOPS Instructor (ANI), Instrument Flight Board Instructor IFB(I).
    • Must possess a minimum of 100 hours of night vision google (NVG) time and 1000 hours of flight time in AH-1Z or like model aircraft.
  • General Skills:
    • Must possess excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
    • Must be highly organized and able to prioritize tasks.
    • Must be detail-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks, and able to operate successfully with little or no supervision.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

DESCRIPTION

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Provide pilot instruction in the classroom, FTD, and aircraft. Provide pilot scheduling support. Provide maintenance aircraft pilot support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide classroom instruction—both student self-paced Interactive Media Instruction (IMI) and Instructor-Led Training (ILT) events—for student pilots.
  • Conduct Functional Check Flights.
  • Conduct FTD Simulator events for student pilots.
  • Conduct Aircraft flight events for student pilots.
  • Perform end-of-phase and annual check rides as necessary.
  • Make certification and designation recommendations as required.
  • Ensure adherence to the USG provided Pilot Curriculum of Instruction (COI) and syllabi.
  • Liaison with the Bahraini Defense Force personnel on contract support issues.
  • Liaison with the GFR on flight and ground operations requirements.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY

Manage a team of aircraft maintenance and pilot instructor personnel. Ensure adherence to contract and training requirements. Coordinate inspections and program reviews for USG agencies as necessary.
