CYSEC SA is a data security company based at the EPFL Innovation Park in Lausanne, Switzerland. With the goal to become European leader in confidential computing, CYSEC developed “ARCA”, a hardened operating system able to protect data in its three states: at rest, in transit and in use. For distributed architectures (IoT, Space, Maritime, etc) involving embedded systems, CYSEC offers end-to-end solutions to be deployed in the backend (on premises, in the cloud) as well as in the edge.

To fuel its growth on the continental stage, CYSEC is opening an office at the new Cyber Campus in Paris. As part of the team that will be based in Paris focusing on cybersecurity solutions for the space market, CYSEC is looking for a Space Project Manager.

Tasks

The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible of all space-related projects, their coordination and completion within budget and planning, and at the highest level of satisfaction for the client. Projects will include product development, qualification and in-orbit demonstration activities, as well as professional services. Clients include European and national space agencies, industrial Primes.

The main activities of the position include:

  • Manage projects to ensure that all deliverables are on time, in budget and technically correct within scope.
  • Support the assessment of resource requirements and the allocation of resources for specific elements of the projects.
  • Co-ordinate internal stakeholders including production and engineering groups to ensure contract milestones are achieved within specified cost and time constraints.
  • Ensure that project planning, monitoring and reporting provides accurate information to enable the management team to assess project performance.
  • Communicate plans, needs and results to the management team
  • Deliver configuration control and compliance ensuring supporting company documentation is accurate and current.
  • Undertake liaison and relationship management with CYSEC customers and strategic partners necessary to deliver the projects including engagement in key or targeted customer activities.
  • Participate in the preparation of tenders and proposals and the negotiation in relation to the contract.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience in project management of complex flight hardware / software systems from requirements to mission operations
  • Education: MSc or PhD in Aerospace engineering or related engineering field
  • Knowledge of cryptography and security concepts is a plus
  • Mastering space standards (ECSS, CCSDS) for system development, qualification and flight
  • In-depth knowledge of European space ecosystem, especially in environmental testing, electronics components, on-board sub-systems
  • Familiar with ground segment design and implementation
  • PM certifications is a plus
  • Excellent document production skills, e.g. reporting, contractual documents, management plans, etc
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English and French
