Summary

We have a current opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineering Manager located at our facility in Littleton, CO. In this role you will be leading the Electrical Engineering and Avionics team and vital to the team accomplishing our goals. You will be involved with the design, testing, and analysis of electronic circuit boards, among other things.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with avionics product manager to understand product top-level design, then execute the detailed design and delivery.
  • Work with avionics and camera product managers and other engineering disciplines to find the simplest, most effective solutions for new products.
  • Manage the details of electrical design and delivery, cradle to grave involvement in the process.
  • Manage electrical engineering team resources, schedule, and budget.
  • Extreme ownership of the electrical engineering and avionics discipline team.
  • End-to-end oversight for electrical design, from schematic capture through parts selection, analysis, test, and troubleshooting.
  • Mentor electrical engineering team.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
  • US citizenship or legally authorized to work in the United States (permanent resident/Green card holder); visa sponsorship not accepted).
  • Ability to work additional hours and weekends as needed to meet program/project deliverables and deadlines.
  • Ability to work from our Littleton, CO office.
  • Ability to travel for testing as needed (less than 10%).

Desired Skills

  • Detail-oriented personality. Experience taking things from concept to completion.
  • Experience in electrical engineering, specifically designing analog, digital, and low power microcontrollers and/or FPGA’s.
  • Knowledge and experience in the following: embedded software, flex circuits, radiofrequency applications, test scripting, automation, circuit simulation, and high-reliability applications.
  • Knowledge and experience with IPC guidelines and space avionics best practices.
  • Ability to prioritize critical details and work and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work additional hours and weekends as needed to meet program/project deliverables and deadlines.

How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy)

Redwire Space determines to pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
