DLR GfR mbH offers reliable and safe services in the aerospace sector. On behalf of the European Commission, we operate and monitor the Galileo satellite constellation in the Galileo control center in Oberpfaffenhofen. Our company headquarters are located where others go on vacation - in the Upper Bavarian Five Lakes Region near Munich. The IT department at DLR GfR mbH takes care of the company-wide IT infrastructure and the provision of IT services. In the IT Solutions team, the Microsoft cloud, business-critical applications and the workplace environment are supported and developed. The team ensures the optimization and continuous availability of all IT solutions.

Your mission:

In your role as IT Solutions Administrator, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities at DLR GfR mbH and the Galileo data center in Oberpfaffenhofen. You will take on challenging tasks in internal IT and at the same time support several projects in the Galileo environment. In a very friendly team you support with the following focal points and topics:

  • Support and further development of the M365 and Teams implementation
  • Support and further development of the Active Directory and the administration tools used
  • Supervision of selected Galileo hosting IT services and various other customer solutions
  • Operation and further development of the e-mail service including the necessary protection mechanisms and archiving
  • Operation and further development of the workplace and surrounding office IT systems
  • Administration and further development of the security-critical and operational IT systems on various platforms
  • Support of the system management for Windows systems using MS SCCM and Intune
  • Coordination and implementation of monitoring, analysis and troubleshooting
  • Regular checking and reporting of the dependencies of supported systems on the Galileo infrastructure
  • Continuous adaptation and refinement of the authorization management
  • Participation in project meetings with international teams
  • Creation of documentation in English and German

Your qualification:

  • IT vocational training or other qualification with relevant work experience
  • Experience in M365 / O365 and MS Teams administration
  • Very good knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange and Windows infrastructures
  • Very good knowledge of MS Exchange and e-mail infrastructures
  • Experience in administration with Powershell
  • Good general knowledge of server virtualization and complex network environments
  • Knowledge of MS Sharepoint and SCCM administration is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Linux, web server and database systems is an advantage
  • Good understanding of current IT security requirements and modern solutions
  • Good written and spoken German and English
  • Willingness for IT security review
  • Willingness to participate in a team rotating on-call service for the 24/7 operation of our critical systems
