Position Overview:
The Technical Communications Team Lead is responsible for planning, developing, managing, delivering, and maintaining information products to support deployment, quality and maintenance throughout the product and service lifecycle.
You will Deliver high-quality information products, including documentation, training, multimedia, and technical illustrations.
Primary Duties:
- Create and develop illustrated parts catalogue.
- Develop maintenance and Operator manuals for Weapon Systems Armaments
- Review technical documentation for our external developer audience.
- Proactively review and analyse the Common Source Database (CSDB) to develop technical publications
- Review Bill of Material (BOM) to develop Technical Publications (Technical Equipment Manuals & Special Publications).
- Review sub-contractor, OEM / Supplier data for accuracy, safety, and consistency
- Lead the Technical Communications team consistent with the goals and objectives of the company.
To be considered, applicants will ideally need the following technical skills:
- Robust R4i suite software and experience in the data applicability.
- Advance skill in XML.
- Robust understanding of S1000D Issue 5
- R4i CSDB server
- Trade or Technician qualifications in mechanical/Electrical/Electronic systems
Experience
- Demonstrated engineering support and technical writing experience in the defence Industry.
- Minimum 10 years in similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in developing IETPs (Interactive Electronic Technical Publication)
- Ability to understand and represent complex information in an easily digestible format.
