Job Description

The Test and Evaluation Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, execution and reporting of tests and evaluations in support of research and development activities in the organisation.  Testing is conducted on systems and sub-systems to ensure that design goals have been achieved.  More formal test and evaluations are undertaken to verify that functional, performance and environmental requirements have been satisfied.

The Test and Evaluation Engineer works closely with Design Engineers from Systems, Software, Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering disciplines to conduct tests that ensures the designs meet defined requirements and are fit for purpose.

About You

You work cooperatively with others, are well organised, analytical and hands-on. You are a planner with excellent communication skills. You should be able to demonstrate:

  • Degree qualification in Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Post graduate qualifications in Systems Engineering desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years in similar role.
  • Experience in defence sector desirable.
