Graduate recruitment has always been very important to us for training and developing our experts of the future across our Safety and Risk Management and Engineering Teams.

We are currently taking applications for our Safety and Risk Management graduate programme based in Aberdeen and Cheshire. You’ll get the opportunity to learn a wide range of techniques from basic risk and reliability assessments to computational fluid dynamics (CFD), software development and commercial skills on a wide variety of projects, that make a real difference to how risks are managed by our clients.

Our programme will enable you to develop, learn and grow within a supportive and experienced environment, where you will spend time in your chosen area of technical capability. You will also gain valuable skills in delivering presentations, project management and stakeholder management as well as internal training programmes delivered by industry leaders.

We offer a structured programme with four milestones for you to work towards. Upon passing each milestone, you’ll receive an increase in salary which links directly to your personal and professional development as you move through the programme.

You’ll be assigned a graduate ambassador to help support and guide you through the programme. Our graduate ambassadors will support you every step of the way in achieving professional and personal qualifications.

What we need from you

To be considered for our programme, you will need to be self-motivated, able to prioritise work and learn quickly from working alongside experienced colleagues. It is essential that you have:

  • Good problem-solving skills and be highly numerate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Technical report writing ability
  • The ability to work reliably as a team player
  • Flexible and willing to travel to different locations within the UK and internationally

Although not essential the following would be of benefit:

  • An understanding of risk assessment techniques
  • An understanding of Computational Fluid Dynamics
  • Excel skills, Visual Basic and C++ experience
  • A commercial/business focus
  • Associate membership of a professional institution

Qualifications

A first class or 2.1 degree in Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
