ESR Technology is recruiting for a Senior / Principal Electrical Reliability Engineer to join our Safety and Risk Management team in Cheshire focussing on delivery of effective assessment for our growing portfolio of work on high reliability systems.
The group has its roots in the 1970’s, developing reliability techniques since being implemented in industry. We have continued to develop capability and advance our expertise including software tools to support our client projects. As leading consultants, our work is predominantly desk based, but requires flexibility to visit our clients in the UK and across the world and demands a high level of both numeracy and report writing skills.
Our key clients’ increased demand for our services in high integrity systems is fuelling the growth of our reliability team and further advancing our expertise.
If you already have skills to add to our reliability solutions experience, we are committed to improving reliability, better safety, cleaner energy and a greener environment through the development of our staff.
The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated and able to prioritise work. It is essential that the candidate has:
- Good problem-solving skills and is highly numerate with a degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Good understanding of electrical and utility systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Technical report writing ability
- The ability to work reliably as a team player and flexibility to learn new aspects
- Experienced in reliability analysis techniques (Reliability Block Diagram and Fault Tree Analysis)
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- An understanding of risk assessment techniques
- Travel, occasional UK and International travel for Client/Site visits
Although not essential the following would be of benefit:
- Good Excel skills
- A commercial/business focus
- Membership of a professional institution
A good degree in engineering or science with excellent written and oral communication skills. Membership of a professional institution would be an advantage.
Employment Category: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
