Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Seek and identify business opportunities for new services with current and new customers
  • Develop and maintain a network of relationships with potential customers and partners to anticipate future needs and maintain active projects
  • Identify new market opportunities in collaboration with external partners to gain or improve stakeholder relationships and secure new business contracts
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the space industry in Europe in the commercial, institutional and defense areas
  • Ensure the overall performance of assigned projects from a financial, technical, contractual, and customer satisfaction standpoint
  • Ensure that all projects are supported with the appropriate Service Level Manager and expert team with sufficient level of planning and organization (kick-off meeting, follow-on service review meetings) and self-sustaining
  • Ensure that all projects are accurately documented and coordinate with all other functional areas (accounting, legal, sales, technical)
  • Carry out market and competition analysis
  • Support the development of innovative products and services
  • Promote the company by participating to marketing activities, trade fair participation and conferences
  • Report on activities and strategic planning

The ideal candidate:

  • Knowledge of the Space industry and/or the Service industry
  • Management experience preferably in the Space or Service industry
  • Excellent command of English, with proven written ability. A working knowledge of German language would be an advantage
  • A degree in Business Administration or STEM, or proven ability to perform the tasks at equivalent quality level
  • Business acumen with experience of budget responsibility and business plans
  • Experience in negotiation
  • Strategic vision and objective driven
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a changing environment on a number of different tasks and projects in parallel in consideration of the urgency and severity of each of them
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • PC literacy, especially with the Office 365 suite
