Firefly LabVIEW Software Engineers design and develop innovative LabVIEW software user interfaces, acquisition programs, and networked infrastructures used to test and launch space vehicles. Your efforts will have a direct effect on the success of missions. You will work in small collaborative groups through all stages of the development process, and support test and launch operations.


  • Design, develop, and test ground software for launch vehicles and their associated ground equipment
  • Perform software and hardware-in-the-loop simulations to validate ground software
  • Support test and launch operations to ensure command and control software is performing as expected



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field
  • 3-5 years’ experience developing and debugging LabVIEW applications
  • Experience integrating LabVIEW software with data acquisition hardware (PXIe, cDAQ, cRIO)
  • Ability to apply previous experience to improve existing ground software architectures and systems
  • Familiarity with source code configuration management and version control concepts
  • Outstanding energy, initiative, and the ability to work well with other team members
  • Ability to work harmoniously in a high-performance team at a launch vehicle start-up environment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, and ability to collaborate with multiple functional groups across multiple sites
  • Ability to provide ground software support for system level tests and operations


  • LabVIEW Certification – Certified LabVIEW Developer or Architect
  • Familiarization with LabVIEW-based frameworks
  • Experience with Agile software development processes
  • Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite Confluence, JIRA, and Bitbucket
  • Experience with Python
