Fire Crew Lead of a Fire Services team that routinely mobilizes to various locations within 24 hours to support services supporting in Fire Operations. Leads aviation firefighting services to minimize loss of life and property in the event of a fire. Controls and extinguishes fires. Operates pumps, foam generators, boom and ground sweep nozzles, and other similar equipment. Uses a variety of special protective gear in situations where poisonous gases, highly flammable combustible liquids, radioactive materials, and hazardous biological products are involved.
This position will maintain accountability and responsibility of all individually assigned personal protective gear within IAW guidance and regulations. Conduct daily inspections of personal protective gear for serviceability and accountability. Provides assistance and planning on Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF) operations and mission planning. Must be capable of preparing and conducting training for military personnel on ARFF management operations and equipment to include facility fire extinguishers and fire protection. Maintains proficiencies, licenses, and certifications in accordance with applicable regulations and Host Nation guidance, NFPA, and ARFF regulation. Shall manage inventories, before, during, and after operations of assigned materials and equipment. Anticipate and plan for shortfalls in materials, equipment, and ARFF capabilities. Plan for movement of materials, equipment, and personnel in support of mobile ARFF operations to various locations. Shall ensure all fire department members, including communications center personnel, meet training and certification requirements outlined in DOD 6055.06–M. Ensure the safety of all firefighters by following proper procedures.
As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.

Basic Job Requirements
This position will be 7 days a week/ 10 hrs. a day while on Camp Lemonier. Deployment to forwarding location may exceed 30-day intervals, or as directed by the mission. While on deployment missions, the contractor work schedule shall be 7 days a week/12 hrs. daily. Environments can be from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions. To ensure compliance with safety, health, and security requirements in the contract, employees will possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
Other Job Requirements
TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Must be prepared to travel to forwarding sites in East Africa within 24hrs to perform services. Must have 2 years of experience as a supervisor within a shift or station. Must be able to respond to rescue or fire alarms/notifications within 3 minutes.
Must possess Department of Defense (DOD) or any equivalent entity accredited by International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or Pro-Board certification.
Must possess a standard-issue civilian driver’s license.
