System Engineer 

Gilat’s satellite communications ecosystem is built around our inter-disciplinary platform, based on cutting edge technologies, state of the art communication protocols and modulation schemes, innovative optimization algorithms as well as advanced networking protocols.

We are looking for an exceptional RF/MW System engineer to drive cutting-edge technologies for next-generation Gilat’s Products.

Your role:

• Feasibility analysis based on customer requirements
• Technology selection and product architecture trade-off
• System and subsystems definition and specifications
• Supervising the design process to meet the specifications
• Acceptance test procedure development
• Product optimization
• Summarizing measurement reports
• Field installation and operation of satellite communications equipment

Desired Experience and Education:

• M.Sc. in radio communications with more than 3-5 years of experience
• Understanding of RF equipment sub-modules role and parameters
• Experience in RF sub-modules measurement and qualification
• Knowledge of and experience in applicable technologies for satellite communications user terminals
• Experience in link budgets calculations for satellite communications
• Experience with MIL-STD-810, RTCA DO-160
• Experience using Mahlab is an advantage.
• Experience in development and certification of airborne equipment – advantage.
• Experience in  installation and operation of satellite communication equipment  is an advantage
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
