Project definition / initiation:

• Determining the project definition and goal (statement of work) in consultation with the product group director and the relevant department(s)
• Creating the project plan (goals, people, materials and resources) and timelines
• Drawing up the project budget
• Determining the composition of the project team (size and professional disciplines)

Project management / monitoring progress:

• Implementation and management of one or more projects in parallel (depending on project phase and size) with regard to:
• Arranging and organizing the work and monitoring progress
• Stakeholder management, including (external) partners and suppliers
• Feeding project management systems with information regarding costs and planning
• Providing input to capacity consultations
• Stimulating innovative ideas through, amongst other things, a people-oriented management style
• Take corrective action in case of over- or underspending
• Organizing and chairing project teamwork meetings, providing information.
• Authorizing purchase requests
• Support in obtaining external funding, e.g. WBSO
• Risk management and change management

Hierarchical and functional position:

• Reporting hierarchically and operationally to the NL Technology Manager, in casu the Director Defense Design Engineering
• Managing multidisciplinary project teams, between 5 – 15 team members
• Responsible for projects with a joint budget of € 0.5 – 10M

General / Deliverables

• Providing deliverables such as designs, proto hardware, test plans & – reports, analysis reports and technology readiness assessments of technology development projects

Job qualifications & Characteristics

• HBO / Academic, technical education
• > 5 years of experience in a technical international high-tech environment (preferably aerospace, space, or automotive, wind energy et cetera)
• Project management training, preferably IPMA-C or equivalent
• Good command of the English language, preferably also Dutch, or the willingness to learn it
