GMV is an engineering and technological innovation company and the leading supplier of technologies for location-based applications and services across the transport, operational, government and space domains.

Within our GNSS satellite navigation area, our Position, Navigation and Time (PNT) team is focused on the development and implementation of algorithms to ensure PNT is reliable and robust with suitable quality metrics to allow informed decision making.

As part of this team, you will:

• Design, prototype and test mathematical models for PNT that involve satellite navigation, inertial measurement units and other complementary technologies
• Propose and experiment new and alternative approaches to PNT
• Implement models in software
• Deliver technical work and consultancy to clients
• Provide associated documentation

• Dependent on experience, lead capability groups with the team.

DO YOU WANT TO BE PART OF OUR TEAM?

If you want this position to be yours, we would like you to have the following knowledge/experience:

• University degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, or related disciplines
• Strong mathematical or statistical knowledge
• Strong software development capability (in C, Python, Matlab)
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English

In addition, we value very positively:

• Knowledge of geo-location positioning or navigation systems (eg GNSS, inertial sensors, RF signals of opportunity)
• Knowledge of statistical measures for describing the quality and integrity of mathematical systems
• Knowledge of sensor integration techniques (for example, Weighted Least Squares Estimation or Kalman Filtering)

• Experience of algorithm design and documentation
