As a Space Electrical Systems Engineer, you will work closely with the Deep Space team in Luxembourg to develop the spacecraft’s electrical subsystem. This involves:

  • Spacecraft electrical architect role
  • Definition of spacecraft power subsystem architecture and design
  • Estimation and verification of power subsystem performance
  • Translation of customer and regulatory requirements into design and V&V.
  • Schematic review for Power, Analog and Digital electronics
  • Spacecraft grounding and EMC
  • Spacecraft harness definition
  • Spacecraft electrical integration and qualification test plans and procedures
  • Test script programming
  • Connectivity and Circuit troubleshooting
  • Specification of tests and test equipment for qualification tests.
  • Development and improvement of tests and test methods
  • Design and implementation of test systems (SCOE, GSE)

Theoretical and practical experience

  • Preferably, you have a relevant education as an Engineer in electronics at master level. More importantly, you have at least 5 years of experience as an electronic/systems engineer, with knowledge within development and system validation and verification. To exemplify, you have practical experience with electrical design and integration, with structured verification campaign and troubleshooting non-conformances.
  • As a person, you are structured, detail-oriented and quality conscious. Since we are an international corporation, you are naturally fluent in English both written and spoken.

It is an advantage if you have experience with the following:

  • Radiation tests: TID and HIT
  • EMC/EMI tests
  • Hands-on AIT/AIV
  • Spacecraft power subsystem development and testing
