Position Summary

This is a temporary position. In some cases, there may be opportunity to convert to a permanent position if individual performance and business conditions allow. The Production Technician will follow work flows in the production of various mechanical assemblies for aerospace hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Follow standard work flow documentation

  • Standard workmanship processes

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Soldering wire terminations, splices, and/or PCB work

  • Polymerics (epoxy) mixing and application

  • Cabling and harness assembly and modifications

  • Precision mechanical assembly using standard hand tools and calibrated precision tools

  • Testing and validation of assemblies

  • Basic problem reporting Non-Conforming Material Processing

  • Provide feedback to leadership and engineering regarding suggested updates to processes

Valuable Experience and Certification

  • 2+ years working in an engineering field and/or precision mechanical assembly environment

  • Aerospace Workmanship Standards: J-STD-001 Space Addendum, NASA STD 8739.1, 8739.4 a plus

Required Experience, Skills and Education

  • US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and electronic hardware

  • Working knowledge of standard mechanical electrical tools: torque wrenches, soldering irons, etc.
