To support the company’s growth, we are looking for a Full Stack Engineer, Satellite Order Management based in our office in Espoo, Finland.

About the role:

In this role, you would develop a web application’s backend and front-end, a user interface where our products and services are available. The team’s main objective is to enable our customers to task our satellites, follow their orders, and deliver the data. This team comprises 10+ engineers working on the backend, front end, or both. A UX designer, DevOps, and security engineer support the team. You will develop new features and software from scratch to make modular and extensible systems highly available and horizontally scalable. You will help design and implement all layers and provide internal and external stakeholders APIs. Our stack is mostly Go (Golang) microservices running on Kubernetes in AWS, while the front-end is React and Typescript. We follow an agile process, build Infrastructure-as-code, aim at best practices, and are always willing to improve.

Requirements

Must have:

  • You’re a solid hands-on software engineer. You get things done, but you also know when to take the time to get the design right.
  • Experience in designing and building web applications.
  • Curiosity about earth observation and satellite operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.

Preferred to have:

  • Experience in access control and identity management.
  • Have worked with and can consider trade-offs of different architectures, such as event-driven versus request/response, microservices versus monolith.
  • Have been involved in tough system architecture decision-making in the past.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
