What do we do?

ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

What are we looking for?

To support the company’s growth, we continue to scale our Spacecraft Engineering team and looking for an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to join our global Spacecraft Engineering Team.

About the role?

  • The ideal candidate will cover a role in between 2 teams: Radio Frequency and Electronics and the role will be a mix between ECAD Librarian and PCB Manufacturing Engineer.
  • You will be working on the creation and maintenance of PCB Components including symbols, footprints, 3D and simulation models. You will be working in Altium Designer with Altium A365 EDA package.
  • You will have ownership of the library (document all library supported processes and specifications). Defining all the components, uploading them and reviewing some boards.
  • You will also be working closely with the Supply Chain team and external providers which have become a very important and heavy part of the role.


  • Creation and maintenance of PCB component models using Altium Designer and Altium A365 development tools
  • Document all library supported processes & specifications
  • Work with our supply chain team, external suppliers, interface with internal electronics and radio design engineers & MCAD engineers
  • Component lifecycle and obsolescence management
  • Coordinating process of PCB, PCBA procurement, production, assuring quality, acceptance testing and qualification
  • Conduct and implement design for manufacturing (DFM) feedback into our design
  • Accountable for supplier audits to ensure their ability to meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations
  • Be responsible for certifying product for production release according to given requirements
  • Assure overall quality of product by managing process of design qualification and design acceptance testing
  • Design experiments and conduct research according to best practices in order to bring scientific judgment into product validation
  • Use laboratory equipment needed for electronic tests and manufacturing
  • Work in a global team, share knowledge and experience with other team members, cooperate with 3rd parties, cooperate with local and global certification agencies and laboratories



  • 4+ years experience as an ECAD Librarian or PCB+PCBA Manufacturing Engineer; ideally we look for a person that is interested in interleaving his time between these two roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or other relevant discipline
  • Experience extracting data centric attributes from vendor supplied spreadsheets for automated symbol development and verification
  • Industry standards (IPC, IEEE, JEDEC, Corporate) padstack and footprint and schematic symbol development expertise
  • Professional experience with production of high speed PCBA, multilayers PCB and BGA components
  • Proficiency in quality standards, vendor audits and running root-cause analysis for failures in electronic devices
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • A positive attitude and a desire to learn new things


  • Programming skills, including: C / C++, Python
  • RF knowledge
  • Experience with revision control tools (like Git or SVN)
  • You are comfortable with Linux and Windows
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, take initiative, and communicate effectively
