Prime Purpose

The candidate should have a passion for technical training and being a mentor for others, must have a great personable manner and be comfortable at teaching others as individuals or in larger groups.

Presentation skills should be exceptional and the candidate should have a background in technical training or product training.

The role requires media content and documentation creation to aid customers and end user’s setup, operating and troubleshooting Intellian products.

The candidate should be comfortable with traveling to customer sites for training and also working with early release, alpha or beta test scenarios (FAT/SAT).

Responsibilities

Training:

  • Be the lead training contact in the Americas region, but enhance Intellian training globally as a whole.
  • Develop new training materials in collaboration with global PM & R&D teams, including but not limited to:
    • Documentation; Manuals, presentations, articles, white papers, bulletins, guides, how-to and instruction sheets.
    • Media; Videos, screen recordings, animations, webinars, SCORM, photos and graphics.
  • Implement and manage training syllabus and calendar for the region.
  • Provide training and demonstrations to Intellian customers and staff.
  • Training/dealer development at customer site(s) and in-class settings.
  • Manage internal engineer’s skill matrix and supervise training progress on LMS.
  • Manage/Administer customer accounts on Intellian Litmos platform.
  • Ensure certifications are kept up to date and maintain training database.
  • Identify areas of improvement for Intellian training both internally and externally.
  • Work with external vendors and clients to implement new training delivery methods.
  • Host training requirement calls and meetings with major clients – weekly.
  • Weekly written reporting to Sr. TS Manager of Training activities/progress.

Technical Support

  • Escalated Technical Support via Telephone, email or IM.
  • Provide support for issues escalated from Support Desk Technicians, with the aim to mentor them and make them more self-sufficient.
  • Knowledge of the full range of Intellian products to be achieved and maintained.
  • Maintain knowledge at the appropriate level for both VSAT and TVRO applications.
  • Ensure corporate case management system is completed accurately and timely.

Field Service Activities

  • Onsite interventions where senior product knowledge and/or experience is required.
  • Fault rectification.
  • Product development (identifying issues/quality/design concerns).
  • New product integration (SAT/FAT).
  • Provide Scope of work documents and knowledge handover for field activities as required.

Repair and Test of Intellian Product

  • Analysis and repair of products returned to Intellian facilities.
  • Accurate reporting of issues to facilitate product improvements.
  • Ability to follow procedures and make recommendations where improvement can be achieved.

Review and Update Technical Documentation

  • Provide feedback on existing documentation.
  • Develop content for the technical knowledge base.
  • Utilize support activities to provide documentation enhancements and recommendations.
  • Proofread and assist HQ team(s) with document drafts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years work experience in a similar role.
