Knitting Technician – Metal Mesh

Are you a recent Fashion & Textiles Graduate with a passion for using your skills and experience in an innovative way?

Oxford Space Systems are looking to recruit a Technician to support the knitting and manufacture of metal mesh based satellite components.

This is a truly unique opportunity, in this role you will be working on innovative product portfolios, manufacturing metal mesh and stitching components and materials by sewing machine or hand ensuring the highest quality standards.  You will also be required to program and operate our wire bonder machine as well as our sewing machines.  Working closely with our engineering teams you will resolve assembly challenges, make alterations to the materials, and implement process improvements.

If you want to use your textiles experience in a different sector then this is the role for you.  As well as a degree in Textiles you will have excellent communication and team working skills, along with a proactive and innovative approach to problem solving.  You will enjoy operating to the highest quality standards and be interested in operating machinery.
