The Opportunity 

At LeoLabs, you will work with the radar software team to build and maintain interfaces to our growing network of phased array radars. You will bring expertise in real-time operating systems, high throughput networking, and work cross functionally with our digital signal processing engineers. You can expect to learn about working with phased array radars, and building secure, data-heavy applications. You should have awesome programming skills, and a desire to learn new things all the time.

Qualifications:

  • B.S., M.S in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years experience with Python, C, C++ or other high level languages in a bare-metal environment
  • Experience with IPC, multithreading, and/or operating system development
  • Deep understanding of good software development practices, agile practices, security, documentation and observability

Preferred qualifications 

  • Experience developing GPU based applications
  • Experience with networking, TCP/UDP sockets, and messaging frameworks such as ZMQ
  • Experience optimizing code for maximum performance
  • Helpful to have some background in Math/Physics or digital signal processing

Within 1 month, you’ll:

  • Complete our onboarding program designed to get you up to speed on our business, vision and team
  • Gain an understanding about how your role fits into LeoLabs broader organization

Within 3 months, you’ll: 

  • Ramp up on LeoLabs radar software stack
  • Observe and help with our newest radar deployment
  • Help with new interprocess routing for our newest systems

Within 6 months, you’ll: 

  • Create new radar software deployment processes
  • Independently add new features and resolve existing system issues
  • Help with scalability and reliability system issues

Within the year, you’ll: 

  • Own the entire radar control system
